Clovis travou uma batalha contra um câncer de bexiga e estava sendo assistido em casa no momento do falecimento.
Ele deixa esposa, 4 filhos, 8 netos, familiares e amigos. Atualmente, o articulador era membro da executiva do partido MDB em Sergipe.
O velório será iniciado no fim da tarde deste domingo, na Osaf da Rua Itaporanga, no Centro de Aracaju. Não haverá enterro, o corpo de Clovis será cremado.
