Morreu na manhã deste domingo (22), aos 85 anos, o padre David Vieira de Camargo. A informação foi divulgada pela Arquidiocese de Aracaju.
Segundo a Arquidiocese, ele estava hospitalizado há três meses em um hospital particular da capital, para tratamento de broncopneumonia e infecção urinária.
Com 56 anos de ministério presbiteral, ela era um dos padres mais idosos da Arquidiocese. Antes de se afastar das funções sacerdotais, há três anos, por motivo de saúde, ele exerceu o ofício de vigário da paróquia Santa Luzia e São Benedito, na Barra dos Coqueiros.
O corpo está sendo velado no Asilo SAME (Lar de Idosos Nossa Senhora da Conceição), localizado no Bairro Industrial. Uma missa de corpo presente está prevista para às 15h. O sepultamento será realizado no Cemitério São Benedito, após a celebração.
