O empresário Cyro Ferreira da Costa morreu aos 92 anos, na tarde do domingo (26), em casa, no Recife. A morte foi de causas naturais. O corpo do empresário foi cremado às 20h30, no Cemitério Morada da Paz, em Paulista, na Região Metropolitana do Recife.
Ele era o presidente do Grupo Ferreira Costa, que tem quatro unidades em Pernambuco: duas no Recife, uma em Caruaru e uma em Garanhuns, no Agreste. A empresa também tem lojas no Rio Grande do Norte, na Bahia, em Sergipe e na Paraíba e conta com cerca de cinco mil funcionários.
Natural de Garanhuns, Cyro era o terceiro filho do português João Ferreira da Costa e começou a trabalhar aos 13 anos. Cyro deixou a esposa, Uneida Ferreira da Costa; além de cinco filhos e 11 netos.
“É com profunda tristeza que comunicamos o falecimento de Cyro Ferreira da Costa, em sua casa, ao lado de sua família. A dor é grande, mas fica a certeza de que ele deixou seu grande legado em vida. O Grupo Ferreira Costa agradece a todos as mensagens de apoio nesse momento de luto”, disse a empresa, em nota.
