O jovem José Milton Barreto Filho, de 24 anos morreu, após colidir o veículo, que conduzia, em um boi que corria na rodovia estadual SE-175, no município de Nossa Senhora Aparecida. Outras três pessoas, que também estavam no veículo, ficaram feridas e foram socorridas pelo Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu).
Segundo testemunhas, o boi corria solto na rodovia. Alguns carros conseguiram desviar, mas o jovem José Milton Barreto Filho acabou se chocando contra o animal, que com o impacto, também morreu. O veículo acabou saindo da pista e foi parar às margens da rodovia.

O trânsito ficou lento nos dois sentidos. A Polícia Militar foi acionada e orientou o fluxo de veículos no local.
O corpo do jovem foi recolhido pelo Instituto Médico Legal (IML).
