Ele e sua família cultivam a planta há décadas, mas nunca haviam colhido uma raiz tão grande quanto a que encontraram nesta semana: uma mandioca gigante com quase dois metros de comprimento e mais de 20 quilos de peso.
Geraldo dos Santos, que tem 41 anos e trabalha como agricultor há mais de duas décadas, contou ao Lagarto Como eu Vejo que ficou surpreso com o tamanho da raiz, que nunca tinha visto antes. Segundo ele, a mandioca gigante se destacou não apenas pelo tamanho, mas também pela grossura da raiz.
A descoberta do agricultor chamou a atenção da comunidade local, que ficou impressionada com o tamanho da mandioca. De acordo com especialistas, a produção de mandiocas grandes é algo raro, mas pode ocorrer em algumas regiões do país, especialmente em áreas com solo fértil e clima favorável.
