Na data, os agentes William Noia, Kleber Freitas e Paulo Rodolpho prenderam a vítima no porta-malas da viatura da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) e o forçaram a inalar gás lacrimogêneo. Genivaldo foi abordado por não estar usando capacete enquanto pilotava uma moto. O caso ocorreu na BR-101, em Umbaúba, Sergipe.
