Quem se arvora a traçar estratégias para tomar o comando do PSDB em Sergipe imaginando que terá a legenda a disposição está enganado e perdendo um precioso tempo, pois o Cidadania está confortavelmente amparado pelo estatuto da federação, quando se fala em comando da Federação.
Política de Fato apurou que o partido tem sido alvo de assédios constantes. Lideranças sergipanas das mais variadas sondam o partido por meio de figuras maiores do partido. Uma delas foi o ex-candidato a governador e ex-prefeito de Itabaiana, Valmir de Francisquinho (PL). Ele teria sondado o partido com vistas a liderá-lo, mas não obteve retorno do alto comando do partido.
O art. 17° do estatuto da federação prevê que, em caso de não existência de parlamentares de esfera federal, o comando da federação passa a ser do partido mais votado para deputado federal e para prefeito, nas eleições imediatamente anteriores. Ou seja, o Cidadania tem amplo comando da federação, uma vez que teve mais de 17 mil votos para deputado federal, enquanto que o PSDB pouco mais de 7 mil.
O deputado estadual Georgeo Passos (Cidadania) e a Executiva Estadual do Cidadania têm a preferência e o controle da Executiva da Federação em Sergipe.
No caso do Diretório de Aracaju, a cereja do bolo de quem cobiça o PSDB, o apito dos tucanos é ainda mais mudo. O Cidadania na eleição passada chegou ao segundo turno na disputa pela prefeitura, o que torna o partido o detentor do controle dos destinos da federação na capital. A ex-deputada estadual Kitty Lima (Cidadania) é a presidente municipal e tem respaldo na condução do partido e da federação e pouco ou nada passará sem o crivo da presidente do Cidadania e do seu diretório.
O destino do PSDB está ligado ao Cidadania, que não deve obedecer integralmente a linha oposicionista adotada por Georgeo na Alese, e pode em vários municípios estar alinhado com o grupo do governador Fábio Mitidieri, inclusive na capital.
