Um jogador de futebol e futsal identificado como Denisson Roberto Santos, de 18 anos, morreu afogado após mergulhar no Rio São Francisco, na cidade de Propriá, nesse domingo (1º). Ele já foi campeão do Sergipano Sub 17 pelo Esporte Clube Propriá e do Sergipano de futsal através do União Marabá.
Segundo o Corpo de Bombeiros, a vítima estava jogando com amigos quando tentou pegar uma bola que caiu na água sem saber nadar e desapareceu, sendo encontrado morto por um pescador. Uma equipe de mergulhadores auxiliou nas buscas e realizou manobras de reanimação, mas não teve sucesso.
O Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência (Samu) foi acionado e constatou o óbito. O corpo foi recolhido pelo Instituto Médico Legal.
