O acidente ocorreu no brinquedo Wave Swinger, em que as pessoas ficam sentadas em balanços presos por correntes a um estrutura que gira. As cadeiras são individuais e sobem até a altura de 12 metros. Apesar da ocorrência, o Mirabilândia continua funcionando.
Em nota, a assessoria de comunicação da Secretaria de Saúde do Recife diz que, assim que o Samu foi acionado para a ocorrência, “foram deslocadas para o local uma ambulância de suporte avançado (USA) e quatro motolâncias”.
Uma mulher, com quadro de traumatismo cranioencefálico (TCE) grave e possível fratura de membros superiores, recebeu os primeiros socorros no Mirabilândia, pelos socorristas do Samu, e foi transferida para o Hospital da Restauração (HR).
No Mirabilândia, o Wave Swinger foi inaugurado em novembro de 2020. Os movimentos da atração são como uma onda e duram até dois minutos. De fabricação italiana, o Wave Swinger conta com LEDs que acendem durante a noite. A altura mínima para andar no brinquedo é 1,30 metros.
“O parque Mirabilandia lamenta o acidente ocorrido na tarde desta sexta-feira e suspendeu preventivamente as atividades da atração Wave Swinger para uma revisão completa no equipamento, que passa por manutenção periódica recomendada pelo fabricante.
Uma usuária que estava no brinquedo recebeu imediato atendimento após o acidente que provocou uma queda, o que foi feito prontamente pela equipe de brigadistas de plantão, e foi levada ao hospital, tendo todo suporte necessário pelo parque.
As causas do acidente estão sendo apuradas por uma equipe técnica habilitada, e o parque fica à disposição das autoridades para quaisquer esclarecimentos.”
