Prefeito implora a eleitores: “Não votem nunca mais em mim”

Em ano eleitoral é comum que políticos de todos os campos ideológicos subam em palanques para pedir votos, mas Guga de Paula (PP) resolveu ir na contramão do que é esperado. Prefeito de Cantagalo, na região Serrana do Rio de Janeiro, o político não só pediu que os eleitores não votem mais nele, como os ofendeu em alto e bom som.

Durante a apresentação do cantor Pedro Garcia em uma cavalgada no distrito de Euclidelândia (RJ), no sábado (11/5), Guga subiu ao palco e disse ao público: “Não quero que você votem em mim nunca mais. Não sou candidato. Vocês votem em quem vocês quiserem. E eu vou mandar todo mundo à m…, que eu não sou candidato”.

Ainda no palco, o prefeito de Cantagalo ainda acusou um dos presentes de o ter desacatado e pediu que os seguranças o prendessem.

Guga de Paula foi eleito pela primeira vez à Prefeitura de Cantagalo em 2016 com quase 70% dos votos. Quatro anos depois foi reeleito com 54%. Há menos de um mês, a Câmara local rejeitou a cassação do mandato do prefeito após acusações de que ele teria perseguido um homem com arma em punho. Guga foi preso, mas liberado ao pagar fiança.

Em outras oportunidades, o prefeito já foi flagrado sub suspeita de estar dirigindo sob o efeito de álcool, chegando a subir com o veículo em cima de uma calçada em Itaocara (RJ). Ninguém se feriu. A prefeitura, à época, alegou que o problema foi do carro.
