Na tarde desta quarta-feira (13), um caso de homicídio foi registrado no povoado Açu, na zona rural de Lagarto. A vítima, Rogério dos Santos, de 30 anos, foi encontrada caída na pista do Açuzinho, com sinais de violência.
De acordo com informações apuradas, Rogério teria se envolvido em uma discussão com um vizinho, após avançar com o carro contra a residência dele. Testemunhas relataram que a vítima, que supostamente havia ameaçado o vizinho de morte desde o início do mês, perseguiu o vizinho desde o povoado Brasília até a residência deste, acelerando o veículo em sua direção de forma intencional. Ao colidir, Rogério derrubou uma coluna de concreto da residência.
Após o impacto, Rogério teria saído do carro e tentado se aproximar do vizinho, que, em defesa, teria o atingido com uma barra de ferro. A vítima apresentava lesões na cabeça e no tórax, sugerindo a utilização de um objeto perfurante durante o confronto.
A equipe do 7º Batalhão da Polícia Militar foi acionada por volta das 14h30 e ao chegar ao local, o óbito já havia sido confirmado.
