Outro ponto que fez com que Goretti arrumasse as malas e viajasse para a terra do tio Sam é a dificílima chance que Sérgio tem de se eleger. Ele decidiu se filiar a um partido forte, como vários deputados e isso enfraquece seu próprio nome.
Em Lagarto, só se fala sobre a grande decepção familiar causada por Sérgio contra Goretti e a eminente derrota eleitoral que ele terá este ano ao fazer parte da “chapa da morte”.
