No último sábado (25), um incidente deixou moradores do bairro Pratas em Lagarto, Sergipe, preocupados com a segurança de seus animais. Um cão da raça Pitbull atacou um outro cachorro na rua José Santana, gerando medo na comunidade.
Segundo relatos de testemunhas, o dono do animal já havia sido alertado sobre o comportamento agressivo do Pitbull, mas mesmo assim decidiu soltá-lo na rua. O cachorro acabou avistando outro animal e partiu para o ataque, causando lesões no cão agredido.
O incidente gerou um clima de insegurança entre os moradores, que temem passear com seus cachorros na coleira e serem vítimas de novos ataques. Também há preocupação com a possibilidade do Pitbull atacar pessoas que passam perto da criança que estava acompanhando o animal.
Os moradores esperam que o tutor do Pitbull tome providências para evitar novos incidentes e prenda ou ande com pessoas maiores responsáveis que posso dominar seu animal. Enquanto isso, o caso serve como alerta para a importância da responsabilidade na criação e cuidado de animais de preservação, especialmente aqueles que podem apresentar comportamento agressivo como o que ocorreu no inicio deste ano no municipio de Itabaiana.
