Na carta consta que as razões que levaram a esta decisão são de cunho estritamente pessoal e profissional. No seu lugar, assume o Primeiro Suplente do Partido Verde, Magno Helázaro Santos Bonfim, conhecido popularmente como Miminho de Severo.
Com essa renúncia, o Prefeito Sandro de Jesus e o Vice-prefeito Zé de Alaíde, passam a ter maioria no Poder Legislativo, todos os problemas de ordem orçamentária serão resolvidos e, consequentemente, as aulas irão começar.
