“Para que você possa falar com pessoas de todo o mundo sem dar a elas seu número de telefone“, tuitou Musk.Em comentário posterior publicado no Twitter, Musk afirmou que o aplicativo de mensagens WhatsApp, operado pela Meta, não é confiável.Uma função de mensagens no Twitter poderia competir com a série de serviços gratuitos oferecidos por, entre outros, Messenger, Signal, Telegram e WhatsApp.
Musk acrescentou que o Twitter começará amanhã a criptografar as mensagens diretas na plataforma, para proteger a privacidade dos usuários.
Desde que comprou o Twitter, no ano passado, Musk implementou uma série de mudanças de forma aparentemente caótica, que chegou a irritar os usuários.
