O secretário da segurança pública, João Eloy de Menezes, lamenta profundamente o falecimento do agente de polícia Manoel Messias dos Santos, 84. Ele atuou por mais de 50 anos na corporação, onde deixou um legado de grandes serviços. O falecimento ocorreu nesta segunda-feira (3), após ele permanecer por mais de dois meses internado no Hospital Cirurgia.
O agente de polícia Manoel Messias dos Santos iniciou a atividade na Polícia Civil na função de inspetor de polícia. A sua última atuação foi no Departamento de Administração Financeira (DAF) da Secretaria de Segurança Pública.
O agente de polícia Manoel Messias dos Santos deixa esposa, 10 filhos e 11 netos. O velório acontece na Avenida Anízio Dario, 251, Bairro 18 do Forte, zona norte de Aracaju. O sepultamento acontece no Cemitério São Benedito, às 16 h.
Apaixonado pelo clube Vasco da Gama, seu Messias, como era carinhosamente chamado, veio várias vezes ao trabalho com a camisa do clube do coração. De presença alegre e inspiradora, ele contagiava os ambientes que frequentava.
