Um novo desafio do TikTok está preocupando as autoridades. Quatro pessoas morreram no estado do Alabama, nos Estados Unidos, após pularem de um barco em movimento para participar do challenge viral nas redes sociais. As informações foram divulgadas pela rede NBC nesta quinta-feira (6/7).
Popular no verão, o desafio propõe que os participantes se direcionam até a parte traseira da embarcação e pulem na água enquanto o barco está em alta velocidade. De acordo com o capitão do esquadrão de resgate de Childersburg, Jim Dennis, as pessoas que participam do challenge costumam quebrar o pescoço ou se afogar.
“Acho que quando as pessoas estão sendo gravadas em vídeo, elas estão mais propensas a fazer algo bobo porque querem mostrar para os amigos em redes sociais”, concluiu o capitão.
Embora os vídeos não tenham sido removidos do TikTok, a plataforma adverte que “participar desta atividade pode resultar em ferimentos para você ou outras pessoas”. Isso porque a alta velocidade do barco combinado com a água parada cria uma superfície de pouso dura, semelhante a saltar de cara no concreto.
