Nesta quinta-feira, 26, foi aprovado na Assembleia Legislativa de Sergipe um projeto de lei que institui a “Semana Estadual de Conscientização sobre o Transtorno do Desenvolvimento de Linguagem (TDL)”. De autoria da deputada Dra Lidiane Lucena (Republicanos), a iniciativa tem como objetivo principal promover a conscientização sobre a importância do diagnóstico e tratamento precoce de crianças e indivíduos com TDL.
Com a aprovação desse projeto, Sergipe se torna pioneiro na promoção de eventos, como seminários, palestras e fóruns de debates, que visam conscientizar e orientar a população sobre esse transtorno.
“Como deputada estadual, médica e mãe de uma criança atípica cujo diagnóstico ainda está sendo fechado, sei o quanto é importante disseminarmos conhecimento, enfrentarmos preconceitos e darmos visibilidade a causas pouco visíveis para a sociedade”.
Dra Lidiane Lucena explicou ainda que o TDL, antes conhecido como DEL (Distúrbio Específico de Linguagem), está relacionado a dificuldades persistentes na fala e na evolução da linguagem em crianças. “Precisamos falar sobre o assunto para que as famílias possam reconhecer o transtorno e buscar ajuda de forma precoce, de modo a evitar possíveis isolamentos sociais e problemas na aprendizagem escolar, por exemplo”.
A iniciativa, que segue para a sanção do governador Fábio Mitidieri, marca um passo significativo para garantir uma sociedade mais inclusiva e acolhedora para pessoas que enfrentam desafios relacionados ao desenvolvimento de linguagem.
