No campo da segurança pública, foram considerados os indicadores de porcentagem da população que se sente segura ao andar à noite sozinha na região em que mora e o número de homicídios por 100 mil habitantes.
Em 2022, O Brasil apresentou percentual de 48% e taxa de 22,38 homicídios por 100 mil pessoas. De acordo com a Firjan, isso significa alcançar 34% na evolução das metas de segurança estipuladas pela ONU. O conjunto dos 27 países apresenta patamar de 79%.
