Em parceria com a Secretaria de Estado da Assistência Social e Cidadania (Seasc), a Prefeitura de Carira, através da Secretaria Municipal de Desenvolvimento e Inclusão Social, distribuiu cestas básicas a famílias afetadas pela estiagem e a seca.
As famílias contempladas, segundo consta, residem em algumas comunidades rurais que apresentam índices de vulnerabilidade consideráveis.
Já os alimentos são provenientes do Projeto Social Natal Iluminado, desenvolvido pelo Governo de Sergipe.
