Foi preso nesta quarta-feira, 28, no Rio de Janeiro, o dono de ferro-velho acusado de fazer o desmanche e o descarte do veículo usado no assassinato da vereadora Marielle Franco e do motorista Anderson Gomes, em março de 2018. O homem foi detido em ação conjunta da Polícia Federal e do Grupo de Atuação Especializada de Combate ao Crime Organizado (GAECO), do Ministério Público do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ).
Ele estava próximo à casa em que mora no bairro de Santa Cruz da Serra, Duque de Caxias, na Baixada Fluminense. O preso foi levado para a Superintendência Regional da PF no Rio e, depois de cumpridos os trâmites iniciais, será levado para uma unidade do sistema prisional.
O homem já havia sido denunciado pelo Ministério Público em agosto de 2023. Ele é acusado de impedir e atrapalhar investigações contra organização criminosa. Segundo a denúncia, no dia 16 de março de 2018, Ronnie Lessa e Elcio Vieira de Queiroz, acusados de serem atirador e motorista do duplo homicídio, entregaram o carro ao denunciado, que deu sequência ao processo de desmanche.
O assassinato da vereadora Marielle Franco e do motorista Anderson Gomes completa seis anos no dia 14 de março, e, com a entrada da Polícia Federal nas investigações, em 2023, houve alguns avanços, como a delação premiada do ex-PM Élcio Queiroz, que dirigia o carro usado no crime. Em julho do ano passado, agentes da PF que participavam das investigações informaram que, na delação, Queiroz apontou o também ex-policial militar Ronnie Lessa como o autor dos assassinatos de Marielle e Anderson.
