Ação aconteceu durante evento do Governo, onde os participantes destacaram a importância
da iniciativa da empresa
Para proporcionar mais acesso à leitura para a população de Umbaúba, a Companhia de
Saneamento de Sergipe (Deso) distribuiu uma série de títulos literários de gêneros diversos aos
visitantes da 30ª edição do ‘Sergipe é aqui’, programa de gestão itinerante do Governo do
Estado. As doações ocorreram por meio do projeto da companhia ‘Livro, liberdade para a
alma’, uma das ações da empresa no evento.
Para a servidora pública Aída Aragão, a iniciativa demonstra que a Deso é muito mais que uma
empresa de água e esgoto. “Isso evidencia que ela também está comprometida com a questão
social. Trazer uma ação como essa para o interior do estado é muito importante, pois incentiva
e democratiza a leitura”, defendeu ela, ressaltando a importância da presença da corporação
no ‘Sergipe é aqui’ com projetos e serviços disponíveis à população.
O projeto também teve a aprovação da estudante de engenharia ambiental e sanitária Daiane
de Oliveira. Na avaliação dela, o incentivo ao hábito de ler é imprescindível à sociedade. “É
uma ideia formidável incentivar pessoas a ler. Achei maravilhosas as ações que estão sendo
feitas aqui. Isso é muito importante para a população”, afirmou ela.
Já a autônoma Maria da Glória Jesus Santos, além de levar para casa livros para ela, também
adquiriu títulos literários para o filho, e disse que o programa promove um incentivo
maravilhoso. “Achei ótima a oferta desses livros, e tem também a distribuição de mudas de
árvores e o atendimento. Para mim, está aprovado”, considerou.
Projeto
Criado em 2017, o ‘Livro: liberdade para a alma’ já recebeu três Selos Objetivos de
Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), condecoração promovida pelo Movimento Nacional ODS
Sergipe, que premia iniciativas alinhadas aos ODS da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU).
Além disso, o projeto já emprestou cerca de 4 mil títulos literários, e doou outros mil.
É possível doar livros ao programa na unidade sede da Deso, localizada na rua Campo do Brito,
em Aracaju, onde também é possível solicitar empréstimo de títulos literários do acervo da
iniciativa.
