O presidente da Fundação Pio X, mantenedora do Hospital de Amor de Barretos, esteve em Sergipe recentemente para colocação de placa em homenagem a parlamentares sergipanos no Hospital de Amor de Lagarto e evento realizado no Parque das Palmeiras.
Durante os eventos, Henrique Prata fez questão de destacar a importância do deputado federal Gustinho Ribeiro para a chegada do Hospital de Amor em Lagarto. “Já estava desesperançoso para trazer o hospital para a terra natal da minha família, mas tive um encontro com o deputado federal Gustinho Ribeiro que se comprometeu em lutar para que pudéssemos realizar este sonho”, afirmou Henrique Prata.
“Rapidamente, Gustinho Ribeiro conversou com sua esposa Hilda, prefeita de Lagarto, para que a prefeitura doasse o terreno e dialogou com os demais integrantes da bancada sergipana para que abraçassem esta causa”, lembrou Henrique Prata.
Gustinho Ribeiro é o parlamentar que mais destinou recursos para a construção do Hospital de Amor de Lagarto. Além disso, ele buscou apoio da Associação Brasileira de Quarto de Milha para que diversos eventos fossem realizados para que recursos fossem destinados para a obra.
Hospital
A unidade do Hospital de Amor de Lagarto será a maior do Norte-Nordeste e será especializada na pesquisa, prevenção, tratamento e cuidados paliativos contra o câncer. Em Sergipe, de acordo com o Instituto Nacional de Câncer – Inca -, a expectativa é de 6 mil novos casos de câncer.
Por isso, a chegada do Hospital de Amor em Lagarto será primordial para uma mudança na vida dos sergipanos. A esperança de dias melhores no combate ao câncer já é uma realidade.
