Um homem identificado como Reginaldo Assis de Souza, de 30 anos, invadiu uma casa e tentou estuprar uma criança de 1 ano e 9 meses, na manhã do último domingo (26), na Rua F, no conjunto Bairro novo, bairro Jorge Teixeira, zona Leste de Manaus.
De acordo com informações da polícia, enquanto a mãe e a criança dormiam, o individuo entrou no quarto por volta das 7h e começou a tirar a roupa da vítima. Nesse momento, a mãe acordou, viu a cena e gritou desesperadamente pedindo socorro dos vizinhos.
O homem tentou fugir, mas foi alcançado pela população que o deixou sem roupa e o espancou com pedradas e golpes de faca.
Ele foi atendido pelo Serviço de atendimento Móvel de Urgência (SAMU) e encaminhado para o Hospital João Lúcio, onde permanece internado e passará por cirurgia. Após isso, será levado para a delegacia para cumprir os procedimentos cabíveis.
