CHUVAS NO RIO GRANDE DO SUL
Os temporais que atingem o Rio Grande do Sul já deixaram oito mortos e 21 pessoas desaparecidas. De acordo com balanço divulgado pela Defesa Civil do estado, na manhã desta quarta-feira (1º), 104 municípios foram afetados, 1.431 pessoas estão desalojadas e 1.145 foram levadas para abrigos.
A prioridade do governo local é no resgate de famílias ilhadas. Ontem (30), o governador Eduardo Leite conversou, por telefone, com o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, que garantiu apoio federal nas ações.
“Começamos o dia com a triste notícia de que já são 8 mortes causadas pelo temporal desta semana no estado. Seguimos trabalhando intensamente para localizar os desaparecidos e garantir a segurança das comunidades em áreas de risco. Infelizmente, ainda há previsão de mais chuva”, escreveu Eduardo Leite, hoje, em publicação nas redes sociais.
A Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) informou que foi acionada e disponibilizou dois helicópteros para o resgate dos atingidos pela enchente na região de Santa Maria. Em uma das ações, a FAB resgatou uma família que estava ilhada em uma casa com risco de desabamento.
Os temporais castigam o Rio Grande do Sul desde segunda-feira (29) e a previsão da Defesa Civil é que o volume de chuvas continue elevado até a próxima sexta-feira (3). Estradas foram bloqueadas, escolas foram danificadas e suspenderam aulas e há municípios com problemas no abastecimento de água, energia elétrica e telefonia.
