Nesta terça-feira, 30, a Polícia Civil indiciou um suspeito por agredir um cão com uma arma de choque no município de Maruim. A ação criminosa foi registrada e divulgada em redes sociais.
Após tomar ciência do caso, através da internet, a Polícia Civil iniciou as diligências, localizando e interrogando o suspeito do ocorrido. Em meio às investigações, o armamento utilizado para maltratar o animal foi apreendido.
De acordo com o delegado João Eduardo, responsável pelo caso, o suspeito alegou ter transtornos comportamentais. Além disso, o homem apresentou um relatório psiquiátrico.
O investigado afirmou que não tem por hábito realizar agressões contra o cachorro e que usou os choques para repreender o animal, para que este não brigasse com outro cachorro. O cão já recebeu atendimento médico veterinário.
Com o inquérito policial perto da conclusão, a Polícia Civil encaminha o caso ao Poder Judiciário, com o indiciamento do suspeito por maus-tratos.
A Polícia Civil reitera a importância da população denunciar crimes contra animais através do Disque-Denúncia (181). O sigilo do (a) denunciante é garantido.
